Kylie Buckner, RN, MSN has over 18 years of nursing experience in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Labor and Delivery, and Pediatrics. She is the Director of Lifestyle Change at Mastering Diabetes, and has a master's degree in nursing education.


Kylie has been following a plant-based lifestyle for over 8 years, is a certified yoga instructor, and teaches about the connection between lifestyle choices and optimal health for pregnant women and women hoping to get pregnant. She has extensive experience in helping women master type 1 diabetes, type 1.5 diabetes, prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, and gestational diabetes.

Cyrus Khambatta, PhD, Nutritional Biochemistry

Cyrus Khambatta, PhD is a New York Times bestselling co-author of Mastering Diabetes: The Revolutionary Method to Reverse Insulin Resistance Permanently in Type 1, Type 1.5, Type 2, Prediabetes, and Gestational Diabetes.


Cyrus has been living with type 1 diabetes since 2002, earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University in 2003, worked as an aerospace engineer at the NASA Ames Research Center, then earned a PhD in Nutritional Biochemistry from the University of California at Berkeley in 2012.
