At the retreat, our mission is to not only teach you the effectiveness of a low-fat, plant-based, whole-food lifestyle for living with diabetes, but also equip you with the skills to take the information home and put it into practice for lifelong success.

Each day will be filled with interactive lectures, group fitness classes, delicious meals made with fresh produce, and plenty of leisure time to relax in the sun.

Our team of instructors and medical professionals break down the science into easy, digestible information and share all of our best tips for living and eating to support your health.

We answer all of your questions and work one-on-one with you to help you understand how to manage your blood glucose and make the lifestyle work for your individual needs.

Delicious Plant-Based Food

We are passionate about eating incredibly nutritious and delicious foods, and will make sure that you enjoy every meal.

All of the meals served at the retreat are comprised of 100% plant-based, unrefined, whole foods. We source as much as we can locally, and the large majority of the foods are organic as well.

Each meal is served buffet-style so that you can serve yourself and choose which foods you prefer. We also provide the carb counts for each ingredient so that you can monitor your blood glucose and, for those who are insulin-dependent, adjust your insulin dosing as your insulin sensitivity improves.

If you have any food intolerances, just let us know. Our kitchen staff is happy to find a way to accommodate your needs.

Daily Fitness

The fitness sessions cater to all fitness levels, including exercises for beginner, intermediate, and advanced athletes. 

Activities range from yoga to nature walks to interval training. We keep things fun and make sure that everyone enjoys themselves.

Every day, there are 3 interactive group lectures, where you will learn about the biochemistry of diabetes, exercise, intermittent fasting, emotional eating, and much, much more. A few of the group lectures you can expect are:

She has been active in the field of health and nutrition for many years, including working with Forks Over Knives, Engine 2, and Dr. Neal Barnard and the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.
